Jon Franklin is the Director of Research at the Charles Koch Foundation, where he works with a team of analysts and grant officers to develop and apply strategies that advance the Foundation’s vision. Prior to joining the Foundation, Jon studied U.S. business and economic history at the University of Maryland. His research culminated in the publication of A History of Professional Economists and Policymaking in the United States: Irrelevant Genius (2016), which explores the emergence of economics as a professional discipline and its influence on public policymaking in the 20th century.
