John joined Stand Together in May 2018 to lead higher education fundraising after overseeing the Heritage Foundation’s development efforts from 2009 - 2018. John is responsible for leveraging capabilities across the community – working across the network to significantly scale up our higher ed fundraising in the years ahead. John joined Heritage in 2004 and, alongside his long-time mentor John Von Kannon, built one of the most highly-effective and well-respected development operations in the country. He started his career almost 20 years ago in higher education consulting with KPMG, and immediately prior to joining Heritage, he was a successful major gift fundraiser at his alma mater, The Catholic University of America.
