Brandon Silverman is a policy expert on social media transparency. He was formerly the CEO and Co-Founder of CrowdTangle, a social analytics tool that was acquired by Facebook in 2016 and was one of the primary ways Facebook was transparent about what was happening on its platform. He’s currently a Knight Policy Fellow at the George Washington Institute for Data, Democracy and Politics and has advised the European Commission, White House, UNESCO and a host of civil society organizations focused on how to responsibly share data from large online platforms. He's testified in the U.S. Senate & Australian Parliament, speaks frequently at conferences & events and his writing & commentary has appeared in the New York Times, BBC, Guardian, CNN and more.
