Perry Tarrant, assistant chief of police in Seattle, Washington, is president of the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE). Chief Tarrant has nearly four decades of law enforcement knowledge and experience, and consults in the review of complex police shootings and multifaceted use-of-force matters. Over the last few years he has advised chiefs following officer-involved shootings. Chief Tarrant has written several position papers related to the President’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing, and continues to build communities through NOBLE’s engagement programs.
