Cynthia W. Roseberry is the executive director of the Council for Court Excellence (CCE).
Prior to joining CCE, Ms. Roseberry served as project manager for the historic Clemency Project 2014. Clemency Project 2014 was a working group of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the American Bar Association, Families Against Mandatory Minimums, and the Federal Community and Public Defenders.
Ms. Roseberry also served on the Colson Task Force on Federal Corrections and was the executive director of the Federal Defenders of the Middle District of Georgia, Inc. from 2009 to 2014. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Wilberforce University in Ohio and her Juris Doctor from Georgia State University College of Law. Ms. Roseberry is a founding board member of the Georgia Innocence Project and was the first African-American female president of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
